Fabio is a technologist at heart, curious by nature and willing to always challenge myself to find the next best thing. I have a strong multicultural background, and multidisciplinary experience. I am Italian, born in Kenya, lived and worked in more than 22 countries since. I have been fascinated by engineering since my early teens, and went from building amateur ham-radios and destroying home appliances, to developing products and solutions for aerospace, automotive, telecommunications and, now, digital markets.

Prior to joining Pearson, I set up and managed a Product and Technology team at Intigral (STC’s UAE based VAS and Media subsidiary), thus creating the capability to develop complex digital products (web live video for the Saudi League, dawri+) achieving large audiences up to 650,000 page views per hour.

He also participated in the incubation and set-up of the first UAE telecom digital social / media venture led by the CEO of du and the creation of the digital team within the same operator. Prior to that I was managing the MENA region for a major Telecommunication consulting firm with focus on business and technology services. In my early days I worked for Alenia (Italian private aerospace contractor) and have been a patent agent for a Turin law firm.

Fabio has a MSc in electronics and avionics from the Polytechnic of Turin, an MBA from INSEAD and I am a charted engineer with the Italian professional association. In my spare time, when my two daughters let me breathe a bit, I enjoy sports, diving and playing squash."
