Dr Abdullah bin Nidal Addas is currently serving as an assistant professor and faculty member at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, King Abdulaziz University (KAU). He is the head of KAU Vision Initiative Unit and the Deputy Director for the Center of Alignment of Educational Outcomes with Labor Market. Dr Abdullah addas took administrative positions on the faculty and department levels, including the faculty public relations manager, head of the department academic accreditation unit and program coordinator of the BLA program. His research interest is related to his field of study and the development of teaching and assessment methods in teaching and learning as well as academic accreditation for higher education institutions.
Experiential learning has taken centre-stage across the region due to its long-term benefits for students from a range of backgrounds. Students must now develop entrepreneurial thinking and work experience from an early age in order to succeed on a global platform of learners. This panel will explore how schools can utilise relationships with the community in order to create more opportunities for work experience, build relationships with industry partners and nurture talent in young people ahead of graduation.
